"you make a great weiner Shay"

day 2 of the photo shoot at Quad.  Today, we just have a couple boxer brief shots on forms instead of models...

So, the stylist Shay, essentially has to make a "form weiner" so our boxer briefs are filled out.  It took a little effort, but we got it...

It's not everyday at work when a compliment is "you make a great weiner Shay..."

this was redonkulous

so last night at our softball game - the weirdest thing happened...I forgot how to throw!  I honestly just couldn't do it...I either threw a digger in the ground or just lofted it way right.  It was like I had a weirdos arm transplated on my shoulder when I wasn't looking.  It freaked me out.  I admit - i've never been a strong thrower, I do something weird with my arm, but I at least had a little power and aim...and it just left.

Maybe it was Friday the 13th sneaking up on me a little early, but it just made me so shakey and nervous during the game...I just couldn't shake my butterflies!  Luckily, we won.  I only had to make 2 plays in the outfield - thank the Lord!

love you Quinn

crazy, shocking, amazing, wonderful news...

as a freshman in college, when all athletes had to report a week early..one of the first people I met at Parkside was this little (well he's actually tall), curly haired cutie named Quinn.  We became close fast, in fact him, myself and Mel quickly became inseparable.  sleepovers, mini-parties, and as our sugar daddy for pizza, Quinn was one of my best friends.  He's one of those people that just gets you and will love you know matter what...he'll have the balls to tell you when you're being completely stupid but has the sensitivity to pick you up and love you when you decided not to listen...and he'll wait until after you stop crying and tell you "I told you so" to make you laugh and forget, at least, for a time...

He's supported me in so many ways...in running (yup we're running nerds)...in struggles...in break-ups...just in life's twists and turns - he always been constant.

And 8 years later, this guy, who has now been living in Arizona for the past couple years, has an amazing girlfriend who is as uniquely independent, hella smart, and stubborn as he is.  I've come to realize that they are perfect for each other...and even though I am a selfish friend who likes to think that no one is good enough for him, I think she is.

I just found out yesterday, that these two people who "are against marriage, see no point to it, don't need it"...are, in fact, getting married.  Kristin just got a job offering in Japan, for 2 years, leaving at the end of August.  To them, it just made sense to take on this new path in life as a married couple.  And, true to their fashion...it's "not a big deal, no ceremony, no wedding dress, no fuss type of thing"...they are tying the knot next Wednesday, June 18 - the day they first met.  Congratulations you guys - love you Quinn.  See you at your party.  (I'll be the girl crying).

p.s.  in a complete selfish blogger fashion, I can't wait to get a hit from Tokyo - heck yeah baby...takin' on the world.

urban dictionary - hilarious

so, my friend...and firm & burn instructor=) enlightened my mind to the urban dictionary...

it really cracks the crap out of me...you essentially get e-mailed a word a day with definition and usage.  I've only been getting e-mails for about a week and they completely rock.  My fav so far has been "chuck a spaz"...basically throwing a spastic fit=)

usage:  Tim (my boss)...stop chucking a spaz...i know the offer was supposed to be 25% off, but i can stand you flapping around my desk.

it is a stepping stone is my professional career...

My boss (the king of techie people everywhere), called me (lil' moshi) brilliant...

He may change his ways tomorrow and be back to "moshi, what are you thinking?"...but today...oh special day...i'll let it linger.
