ever seen the movie the holiday?... where a california rich girl and a home body from London switch houses and basically lives each others lives for a "holiday" which, let's just say a month... they both experience renewal and of course amazing men! woo..
so, the kenosha version goes a little something like this...
A 61 year old retired chiropractic business owner is itching to go to california for a month...to get a break, to help her old business partner with his practice for a bit and to house sit for a friend...
This is where my starring role comes in, me, who lives with my roomie (and her boyfriend part time) in a small 2 bedroom house jumps at the chance to house/dog sit for a month in this gorgeous house down by the lake. A beauteous 5 bedroom equipped with a library, beautiful art, a sauna, and my favorite accessory--a boiling water faucet to make instant french press coffee, oatmeal, or hot cocoa, it's glorious!
Even the most freezingest weather in the past 10 years cannot break my smile. I love (well that is prob a little strong, but they're refreshing) my twice-a-day walks with Marcel in this wonderful neighborhood and along the lake. I feel spoiled with the neighbors on snow patrol duty, robbing me from having to shovel or snow blow...yes!
So, the only part that is missing is the hot, amazing male coming to my door and swooping me off my feet. BUT, honestly, I think in this movie it's overrated. I'm content going to bed with my heated blanket and my latest book.
aaaggh. life is good.
=)
I'm on my way to sweep you off youur fit! The movie will be complete!
